Skin Boosters.

Refine, firm, and rejuvenate

Treatment process

Skin boosters, also known as bio-remodellers, are high concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) injected into the superficial layers of the skin. They work to stimulate cellular renewal, improving fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, elasticity, and overall radiance.

Unlike dermal fillers, these treatments do not add volume or structure. Instead, they deliver deep hydration while supporting the skin’s natural ability to repair and rebuild collagen and elastin.

Treatments such as Profhilo®, Sunekos®, and Skinvive® each use unique delivery methods to target deeper layers of the skin. Each booster works slightly differently, allowing us to tailor treatments to your individual skin concerns.

Results are subtle and natural, with an initial boost in hydration and glow, and optimal results developing around 12 weeks post-treatment.

Treatment protocols vary depending on the product—some require an initial course, while others are maintained annually.

Consultations are complimentary if you’d like guidance on the best option for your skin.

Before Your Appointment

Prior to your treatment, a full consultation will be carried out to assess your suitability. This is your time to discuss any questions or concerns, create a tailored treatment plan, and be guided through the process.

To help minimise the risk of bruising, we recommend avoiding blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oils for one week prior (please consult your medical practitioner first).

Post Treatment

Following your appointment, the treated area may feel red and tender for up to 48 hours. Swelling and bruising are common and can take up to one week to settle. In some cases, antihistamines may be recommended (please consult your doctor first).

You may experience mild to moderate discomfort, which should improve over two to five days. Small lumps can also occur and typically soften and settle as the product integrates into the tissue over two to six weeks.

For the first 24 hours, gentle cleansing and your usual skincare routine is fine. However, we recommend avoiding oil-based products, AHAs, retinol, and vitamin C during this time.

Results

Results develop over time, with optimal results seen around three months post-treatment. You may notice an immediate glow from increased hydration. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6–9 months to enhance and prolong results.

Side Effects & Complications

No treatment is completely risk-free. While skin boosters are generally very safe, there is a small risk of side effects.

Common side effects include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. These typically appear shortly after treatment and settle within a few days. Some clients may also experience mild tenderness or discomfort, which is normal and temporary.

In some cases, small lumps or bumps can form under the skin. These usually resolve as the product settles and integrates into the tissue.

Although rare, infection or allergic reactions can occur.

We are highly trained to minimise risks and manage any complications should they arise. If you have any concerns following your treatment, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
